Although the weather was quite cool and the wind gusting, we welcomed twelve beginners to Caldy.
The next beginners course will commence on May 7th 2009 - 18:30 and will be held at Caldy Rugby Club. Anyone wishing to be included should complete this form and send it to Chris.
I'm sorry to report that Eddie Platt passed away on Saturday 7th March 2009.
A service commemorating Eddie's life will be held at St Barnabus Church, Bromborough on Thursday 19th March at 1pm, followed by a private service at Landican Cemetary. The family have requested no flowers and that persons attending the service at St Barnabus, should not wear black. Donations to Hoylake RNLI would be much appreciated.
It is with great sadness that I have to report that Dennis Martland passed away on Saturday 21st February.
The funeral will take place on Thursday 5th March, 3.00pm at Landican Cemetary. The family have requested no flowers and that persons attending, do not wear black. Donations to Claire House would be appreciated.

The 29th Caldy Bowmen Annual IndoorTournament will be held at Leasowe Leisure Centre on Sunday 23rd November 2008. There will be three sessions, 9.00, 12.00 and 14:45. Entry forms available here.
GNAS have recently updated the Classification tables. There is, as far as I can see, no change to the Recurve tables but there are major changes to the Compound and Longbow tables. There is also the addition of a Barebow classification table. I have completed the Ladies and Gents tables for Recurve, Compound, Longbow and Barebow, but am still working on the junior tables.
Due to a clash of dates with the Cheshire Archery AGM, our Club Championships and Knockout fianl will now be shot on March 9th. This years knockout finalists are Steve Fitzsimmons and Laurence Lovell.
Well maybe not weather wise but certainly in the club record stakes. No fewer than 6 club records were broken, 5 of them on the same date and 4 of them at the same venue (Deeside). Congratulations to:
